Graduate student Kylie Wright receives an award from the NIH

Under this supplement Kylie Wright, who is from an underrepresented background in the biomedical, behavioral, clinical, social sciences, will work on parent grant R01AG072658 (Characterizing and Modulating Neurocognitive Processes of Learning to Trust and Distrust in Aging). The parent grant aims to characterize basic cognitive and neural mechanisms in learning to trust and distrust in healthy aging and in older individuals with subjective cognitive decline and a family history of Alzheimer’s Disease (AD). This supplement will advance Kylie’s research, graduate training, and career development by: (i) acquiring a strong conceptual background in decision neuroscience and aging/ADRD; (ii) further her experience in advanced statistical analysis of behavioral, physiological, and neuroimaging data; and (iii) enhance her academic writing and scientific communication skills via publications, presentations, and dissertation. This opportunity will position her well for successful and timely completion of her dissertation and towards her ultimate career goal to become a professor at a research university.
