October 31 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
The University of Florida Black Graduate Student Organization in conjunction with the College of Medicine Diversity Committee are pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Diversity Graduate Research Symposium on Wednesday, October 31st, 2018 in the Reitz Union.
The Diversity Graduate Research Symposium will include oral and poster presentations from graduate students at the University of Florida, as well as a keynote speaker addressing the importance of diversity in research. The event will be interdisciplinary encompassing biological sciences, social sciences, humanities, computer science, engineering, math and physical sciences. The goal of this symposium is to showcase the outstanding quality and diversity of graduate-level research at the University of Florida, in addition to providing students with the opportunity to enhance their communication skills with those outside of their discipline. Presentations will be judged by post-doctoral trainees and faculty. Prizes will be awarded to presentation winners and there will also be a raffle for attendees. This event is open to everyone that registers.
This event is hosted by the Black Graduate Student Organization and College of Medicine Diversity Committee and funded solely through the generous donations from our sponsors. If you or your organization would like to contribute to this event, please email Akilah B. Murray at: email@example.com.
