Peter Dodzik is a pediatric neuropsychologist who focuses on the assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders, complex medical issues, learning, and psychological disorders in children and adolescents. He is currently part of a multi-disciplinary group practice at Northwest Behavioral Health Services in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He also provides inpatient neuropsychological care at Northwest Community Hospital and through Fort Wayne Neurological Center/Lutheran Hospital in his hometown of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Dr. Dodzik is active in teaching and training future neuropsychologists. He teaches graduate courses in neuroanatomy and neuropathology, forensic neuropsychology, pediatric neuropsychology, and child and adolescent assessment. He is an Adjunct Professor of Clinical Psychology at Adler University, the Chicago School, National Lewis University, and Wheaton College. He is also a clinical volunteer Associate Professor of Neurology at Indiana University Medical School in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has been actively teaching since 2002.

Dr. Dodzik has also maintained a strong commitment to advancing the field of neuropsychology through his engagement with a number of professional organizations. He is Board Certified in pediatric neuropsychology through the American Board of Pediatric Neuropsychology and in general neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology. He is a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology and the American Academy of Professional Neuropsychology. He has been the previous president of the American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology and currently serves as the examination chair. Dr. Dodzik was one of 56 delegates chosen for the Minnesota conference in 2002. In this role, he was actively involved in writing and update the standards for competency to practice in clinical neuropsychology that will form the basis of training standards across all professional organizations and graduate schools.

Dr. Dodzik has published extensively in the field. He has written several book chapters in the areas of sleep disorders and the long-term effects of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. He presents regularly on topics related to obtaining Board certification at the National Academy of Neuropsychology annual conference and on topics such as epilepsy, long-term complications of birth and prematurity, sleep disorders in children, long-term outcomes of pediatric head injuries, and other areas at the annual American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology conference.

Dr. Dodzik lives in Evanston, Illinois, with his wife and two children.
