Principal Investigator

Dr. Jesse Dallery is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Florida, a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Florida, and a Principal Investigator in the Center for Technology and Health at the National Development and Research Institutes (NDRI) in New York. Dr. Dallery pioneered the development and evaluation of the highly innovative, Internet-based behavioral intervention for cigarette smoking used in the current study.

Project Director / Co-Investigator

Dr. Bethany Raiff is a Project Director and Principal Investigator with the Center for Technology and Health at NDRI. Dr. Raiff is also an Online Instructor at University of Houston-Clearwater and Westfield State College. Dr. Raiff has extensive experience implementing the internet-based smoking cessation intervention since 2002.

Co-Investigator

Dr. Lisa Marsch is director of the Center for Technology and Health at NDRI. Dr. Marsch has has extensive experience to developing and evaluating computer-delivered interventions focused on substance use disorders and related conditions.

Co-Investigator

Dr. Maxine Stitzer is a Principal Investigator at the Behavioral Pharmacology Research Unit at John’s Hopkins University. Dr. Stitzer is a highly regarded leader in the field of behavioral treatments for cigarette smoking and substance abuse, including abstinence reinforcement interventions. She pioneered efforts to apply abstinence reinforcement to cigarette smoking.

Co-Investigator

Michael Grabinski, President of Red 5 Group, LLC, has considerable experience designing and supervising sophisticated software applications for a variety of drug treatment programs. Mr. Grabinski designed the computer software for the Internet-based smoking cessation intervention used here.

Research Assistant

Allison Kurti, M.S., is a graduate student in the Department of Psychology at the University of Florida. Ms. Kurti has served as a Research Assistant for the Internet-based smoking cessation intervention since July 2012.

Hypatia Bolivar, B.S., is a University of Florida Psychology graduate working in the Department of Psychology. Ms. Bolivar has served as a Research Assistant for the Internet-based smoking cessation intervention since May 2012.
