Eliminating Barriers to Mental Well-Being for College Person(s)
This project facilitates group discussions with students about their mental health challenges and experiences seeking support. Our goal is to learn from students about what mental health challenges they face, what resources work for them, which ones do not, and what additional support they would like to see from the University. In order to inform more equitable resources in the future, we are particularly interested in hearing from students who identify as BIPOC students, LGBTQ students, international students, graduate students, students with disabilities, first generation students, and students without strong social ties to peers.
We are currently nearing the end of data collection and will hold our last groups in February 2023. We have begun preliminary data analysis to identify the major themes discussed in the focus groups. If you participated in the study and would like learn more about the results as they are available, reach out to CCI-UF@ufl.edu.
