Each Spring, the Psychology Graduate Student Organization (PGSO) hosts an Undergraduate Research Forum to give undergraduate researchers the chance to show what they’ve been working on in their labs over the past year(s) and compete for a monetary prize.
This year we had an all time high of 40 high-quality poster presentations from talented undergraduates, making judging particularly challenging! The top three poster presenters are as follows:
1st place:
Derek Simon, 4th year: The integration of life events differentially impacts ratings of the good life
Mentor: Erin Westgate
2nd place:
Michael Valuta, 2nd year: Intrusion in Love: Conflict, Trust, Uncertainty & the Impulsive Factor
Mentor: Lindsey Rodriguez
3rd place:
Madeleine Maw, 4th year: Task demands and sensory externalization interact to influence accuracy and metacognition in reality monitoring
Mentor: Brian Odegaard
