UF Researchers Awarded NIH Grant to Study Pediatric Feeding Disorders

Associate Professor Chris Podlesnik, Research Assistant Professor Vivian Ibañez, and Associate Professor Megan Gregory have received a $150,340 NIH/NIMH R03 grant for their project, Meta-Analysis of Behavioral Treatments for Pediatric Feeding Disorders.

The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of behavioral treatments for children with severe feeding difficulties, conditions that can cause serious health issues and significant stress for families. By conducting a comprehensive meta-analysis, the team seeks to demonstrate the medical necessity of these interventions and develop materials to improve awareness and access to care, ultimately enhancing the health and quality of life for affected children and their families.
