At our Spring 2024 Psychology Advisory Board (PAB) meeting, Founding Board President, Dr. Tony Puente completed his term as Board President. He now serves as the Past President of the Board. Tony’s contributions to the founding of the PAB are immeasurable. With extensive expertise not only as a clinical neuropsychologist but also as a leader in psychological sciences, he generously applied his leadership acumen to establishing the PAB. As president of several other, perhaps more notable institutions, like the American Psychological Association, Dr. Puente has a wealth of knowledge in building organizations and philanthropy. He was critical in recruiting other board members, leading the development of the Board’s Mission, and establishing an effective structure for the board and its leadership. Moreover, he empowered other board members to contribute and lead.
The PAB, the Psychology Department, and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences are grateful for his service. We were incredibly fortunate to recruit him during the inception of the board. He is a terrific alum, colleague, and leader. He will continue to serve as past president and then board member in the coming years.
Thank You, Dr. Puente!
