An Individualized Approach
The heart of BHaT’s activities is working with clients to develop effective and acceptable ways to promote and sustain improvements in health behavior. Our assessment methods are state-of-the-art and closely linked to individualized treatment plans.
Clients working with BHaT can expect a 3-step approach:
- Assessment – clients work individually with behavioral health therapists to determine what areas of health are most important to target
- Goal Selection – appropriate goals are selected for measurement
- Intervention & Evaluation – ongoing contact with a behavioral health therapist determines which strategies are effective
Although there is no “one size fits all” method, research has continuously shown that behavioral treatments are the most effective for promoting behavior change. Thus, our individualized behavioral interventions only include evidence-based techniques, such as reinforcement, contingency management, goal-setting, feedback, prompting, and others.
