Angie Winn is an Industrial/Organizational Psychology practitioner with nearly three decades of experience supporting leaders and communities across both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. Her passion for psychology was sparked during an Intro to Psychology course at the University of Florida, where the theories of Maslow and Jung captivated her interest and set her on a lifelong path.

Angie earned her B.S. in Psychology from the University of Florida, followed by a Master’s Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Central Florida. She began her career as Director of Performance Management and Consulting at a training and simulation firm, later becoming Vice President of Leadership and Organizational Development at CNL Financial Group, a financial services company.

While serving as a juror during her time at CNL, Angie experienced a pivotal moment that shifted her career trajectory. She accepted the opportunity to lead a three-year, asset-based community development research project on behalf of CNL. Through this work, she developed the Neighborhood Stress Index, proposed community transformation strategies for civic and business leaders, and co-authored a curriculum. This project culminated in the 2009 co-founding of the Polis Institute, which continues to serve as an incubator for community transformation initiatives nationwide.
Angie’s commitment to supporting vulnerable populations deepened in 2012 when she joined Desire Street Ministries, led by Gator Great Danny Wuerffel. There, she worked with leaders and organizations in high-risk communities across the country. To better understand how to help them lead within their unique environments, she co-developed the Thriving Index, a research-based tool designed to assess the health and impact of leaders and organizations.

Her experience helping leaders navigate adversity underscored the importance of resilience. This realization prompted Angie to step away from her formal role at Desire Street and focus on integrating resilience practices into her own life. From this personal journey, she created the Stability in Motion framework, which has become an important foundation to her work. She also launched Loft on Main, a community-based, intergenerational wellness space, and continues to support leaders and organizations through strategic planning, performance management, leadership development, Myers-Briggs facilitation, and resilience practices.
Angie is especially passionate about nurturing emerging leaders. She serves as a guest lecturer in the Education Department at Rollins College, led a resilience workshop titled Pausing in Motion for the University of Florida’s Mindfulness Center, and created the Lofting Leaders Journey, a leadership curriculum designed for high school and college students.

A proud UF alumna, Angie is based in the Orlando area with her husband—also a Gator graduate—and their two sons.
