- Dr. Nicole Dorey received a 2016-2017 CLAS Faculty Advising Award in recognition of her innovation and outreach in advising/mentoring.
- Dr. Brian Cahill has been nominated for a 2016-2017 Faculty Teaching Award.
- Dr. Bonnie Moradi was invited to co-edit a special section of the Journal of Counseling Psychology on “Intersectionality research in counseling psychology” with Carlos Santos and Patrick Grzanka.
- Dr. Dorothy Espelage was selected as the mentor of an undergraduate who will be participating in the 2017 Summer Undergraduate Research at Florida program.
- Drs. Jesse Dallery, Jeff Farrar, Marty Heesacker, Colin Smith, and Ken Swan — have been designated as a faculty honoree by a 2016 Anderson Scholar student, students who have been recognized for outstanding academic achievements in their first two years of enrollment. Ken Swan was recognized by 6 students — a top mark.
- Jessica Anderson, a psychology major who had taken the class titled The Psychology of Pseudoscience, taught by Dr. Ken Swan, won first prize in the Key Encounter competition sponsored by Phi Beta Kappa.
- Karen Backes (mentor Dr. Laurie Mintz) and Ross Quarles (mentor Dr. Carolyn Tucker) won honorable mention in the Key Encounter competition.
